This page contains some basic information regarding the WHS and in particular details of how members and visitors can determine their Course Handicap when enjoying a round at Silkstone.
Please click on the link below to use the table to find your Course Handicap for each set of tees on the full 18-hole course by looking up your Handicap Index in the left hand column:
A hard copy of the table is also available for golfers to use on a signboard outside the Office / Pro Shop at the clubhouse.
Both the Front 9 and Back 9 at Silkstone are official measured/ratified courses in accordance with WHS requirements. You can therefore play either of the 9-h ole courses and record General Play rounds which will qualify as an Acceptable Score towards your Handicap Index.
The 9-hole courses both have their own stroke indeces from 1 to 9, therefore you will play off a different
Course Handicap (which is approximately half your normal
Handicap Index).
To calculate your
Course Handicap, for either of the 9 hole courses, you should use the following Course Handicap Tables as appropriate to each set of tees.
