Adult Academy Membership

One ambition of Silkstone Golf Club is to become a centre for grass roots development golf club in the area. To help achieve this, our Golf Academy is specifically focused on new golfers, with the objective of helping beginner's bridge the gap between learning and playing. 

Academy members receive low cost professional coaching in both a group and individual environment. Members have access to organised golf, practice facilities and free range ball tokens during organised practice sessions.

Taster Course

From April to June beginner’s group lessons are scheduled on a weekly basis to cover basic principles of putting, pitching & chipping, bunker play, iron play and woods. Basic rules and golf etiquette are included together with an opportunity to play 2 or 3 holes on the course.

Academy Membership

Participants in the Taster Course can join a bespoke Academy Membership programme which covers a 9-month period. Weekly group coaching continues at a discounted rate with access to discounted lesson packages with the Professional. When considered ‘course ready’ Academy members will have access to a ‘buddy’, an existing member who will help with developing their play on the course and  introductions to other members. They will also be able to enter some competitions.

Our professional staff and members provide a comfortable environment and pathway for new golfers to start, learn and play golf at Silkstone Golf Club.
