Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs - 7th Division Team Championship
1st Team members Ian Gillott, Jason Trueman and Daz Wilson represented Silkstone in the Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs 7th Division Team Championship at Otley Golf Club earlier today. The Par 70 course played tough, with the CSS being 72 in the morning and 71 in the afternoon.
Played off scratch over 36 holes, and with a combined handicap of 18, they were up against teams with generally much lower cumulative handicaps.
They finished tied in 9th position, missing out on promotion to the 6th Division Championship by just 2 shots. However, the result means that Silkstone start in the 7th Division next year, rather than having to go through the qualifying process.
