We are currently recruiting for an experienced part time Accounts & Admin Support Assistant.
Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
Duties Include
- Ensure invoices are processed accurately onto QuickBooks.
- Supplier statement reconciliation.
- Ensuring invoices are paid promptly via Barclays.net to eliminate late payment charges.
- Process petty cash receipts
- Process staff expenses.
- Process credit card expenses.
- Responsible for taking the pro shops & club house weekly takings to the bank.
- Ensure that the pro shops & clubhouse income is reconciled monthly.
- Reconcile current accounts and loan accounts on the last day of each month and on the last day of each quarter.
- Preparing the monthly accounts and ensuring the trial balance & profit and loss reports are submitted to the Finance Director each month,
- Ensuring that the other accounting and administrative routines are being carried out efficiently.
- Preparing quarterly VAT returns and complying with the Partial Exemption Scheme to HM Customs and Excise.
- Record and reconcile petty cash.
- Deputising for the Office Manager in their absence.
- Assisting the Office Manager at all times in other areas as requested.
- Assisting the Office Manager with the processing of membership applications if required.
- Dealing with members' enquiries, in person or by phone, acting as filter for the Club Secretary and Office Manager, but referring any queries to them when unsure of the correct answer.
We are looking for someone who has:
- At least two years experience of working in a similar finance role.
- Experience of working with QuickBooks or similar finance accounts package.
- Knowledge of relevant computer packages such as Word & Excel.
- Excellent time management, organisation, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional phone etiquette
- The ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.80-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 - 16 per week
