Guidance note for Seniors Open

If you or your playing partner are FEELING UNWELL, suffering from a cold or any symptoms of Covid 19, you MUST STAY AWAY from the golf course / clubhouse;

Please ensure we have the full names, contact details and handicap of your team members before you arrive (facilitates checking of handicap and maintains record of those attending should it be require for Covid track & trace purposes);

If possible, travel with any colleague with whom you have developed a social bubble whilst ensuring the appropriate distancing;

Arrive in time to register and enjoy your breakfast sandwich and coffee before your tee time

Ensure you park your car with your driver’s door next to the passenger door of the car at the side of you;

Please get ready and change your shoes in the car park;

Only one member of your team should report to the check-in desk, which will be signposted;

Do not approach any tee until all of the previous group in front have left the teeing area;

If in any doubt that you may not find your ball or believe it to be out of bounds, play a provisional ball before leaving the tee;

Do not walk back to the tee to play a second ball once you have left to go down the fairway;

Stick to the time allowed for searching for any golf ball (now three minutes);

Do not under any circumstances touch the flag post - remove your ball by using the device fitted to the flagstick or by hand;

Do not handle any other persons golf ball, tees or equipment;

Maintain your social distance at all times during your round;

There are no rakes, so when exiting a bunker please smooth the area as best you can with your feet or a club.

On completion of the round only the person marking the card is required to sign and complete it and it should then be deposited in the signposted box provided in the clubhouse entrance

You are required to wear a face mask in the Clubhouse unless you are eating or drinking.

You are welcome to join us for a drink and a snack in the clubhouse on completion of your round, however, please maintain your social distance at all times and obey the rules.
